If twitter-sphere can be relied upon, the Afro House powerhouse duo made up of Thabo Mabogwane and Robert Mohasana better known as Black Motion have called it a day and gone their separate ways.
Rumours of a split by the duo, who first came to international prominence with their Tribe Records smash Banane Mavoko, first circulated on the release of their latest album The Healers citing differing opinions on the direction the group would take moving forward.
Musa Khawula’s tweet stating a cancelled New York show and recent bookings billing Thabo alone has yet to be confirmed by the duo.
If true, their electrifying performances, which have taken them around the world, will be deeply missed. We sit with a body of work that has kept us dancing for the best of 10 years and wish both Thabo and Murda the best in the next stages of their careers.
It has also been alleged that Murda has been rebranded as MÖRDA as per his instagram.
