11 weeks "Acrabadabra" Ibiza residency

In a groundbreaking move for Ibiza’s club scene, BLOND:ISH has been announced as Pacha Ibiza’s first-ever female headline resident—a milestone in the club’s 52-year history.

While Pacha has featured female residents before, including Sarah Main, this marks the first time a female artist will hold a headline residency, joining the ranks of past heavyweight residents like Swedish House Mafia, Solomun, and CamelPhat.

The Canadian DJ, producer, and sustainability advocate will take over Pacha every Wednesday for 11 weeks this summer with her immersive Abracadabra party, running from May 21 to July 30.

A Historic Moment for Gender Equality in Ibiza’s Club Scene

For years, Ibiza’s club culture has been heavily dominated by male DJs, as seen on the billboards that line the island’s airport, where men’s names and faces have traditionally taken center stage.

BLOND:ISH’s headline residency represents a significant step toward inclusivity—proving that female artists deserve the same top-tier billing as their male counterparts.

Reflecting on the moment, BLOND:ISH (real name Vivie-ann Bakos) shared:
“I’ve been going to Ibiza since I was 17, so you can imagine that I’ve been dreaming about a residency and what I can bring to the island that’s unique. Energy is everything, and you can be sure we’ll bring fresh energy to the island. It’s something you need to experience in person on Wednesdays at Pacha Ibiza with Abracadabra.”

Shaking Up the Ibiza Nightlife Experience

BLOND:ISH’s “Abracadabra” residency isn’t just about DJ sets—it’s about immersing clubbers in a world of music, magic, and unexpected moments of joy.

Her nights will feature:
🔮 Holograms and levitating objects
🥂 “Press for Champagne” buttons on the dancefloor
Magicians and illusionists surprising guests with spontaneous VIP upgrades
🎟️ Random acts of kindness designed to make each night unforgettable

Breaking Industry Norms Beyond Music

Beyond her music, BLOND:ISH is a passionate advocate for sustainability. Her Bye Bye Plastic initiative has encouraged clubs and festivals to eliminate single-use plastics, and she continues to push for eco-conscious changes in the industry.

Her upcoming album, “Never Walk Alone” (out February 14 via Insomniac Records), will be pressed on bio-based vinyl, a 99.9% petroleum-free alternative that reduces carbon emissions.

“At first, I didn’t even know a plastic-free vinyl was possible. It was just a dream. But then we made it happen, and it showed me that magic does exist,” she said.

Pacha itself has embraced sustainability, operating on 100% renewable energy and reducing water consumption at its resorts. BLOND:ISH hopes her eco-conscious influence will inspire other clubs in Ibiza to follow suit.

While female DJs have always been part of Ibiza’s scene, they have rarely been given top-billing headliner status.
